Emeka is a consultant with the Firm. He advises the Dispute Resolution Group and is a core member of the Policy Advisory Group. His areas of professional competence and research interests includes Environmental Law, Energy law, Biotechnology Law, Corporate Governance ,Human Rights, Oil and Gas Law, Biodiversity Law & Traditional Knowledge and Real property Law.
Emeka holds a Bachelors of law degree (LLB) from the University of Nigeria, a Masters degree(LLM) and a PHD from the University of Witts South Africa.
He is an author and has published extensively in the areas of environmental law, energy law, and biotechnology law in both Nigerian and international law journals.
Emeka is an environmental and natural resource management law expert.He has also consulted for various international organisations. One of such consultancies with the Geneva-based International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), culminated in the publication of Access to Justice: Human Rights Abuses Involving Corporation- Nigeria, a monograph that has been widely cited in various articles dealing with right to a healthy environment in Nigeria.
Emeka is also a Senior Lecturer with the Faculty of Law, University of Port Harcourt and he recently completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship with the College of Law, University of South Africa, Pretoria.
